PUNJABI BHANGRA AND GIDDHA DANCE GROUP
Punjabi Bhangra refers to the traditional dance from the Indian subcontinent originating in the Majha area of the Punjab region. Dhol has been a really important part in India. It has been the tradition at the times of engagements, marriages and every moment of joy since long. Ranadholis are considered to be the best dhol players and are invited all over the world for the same. The famous Bollywood song ‘Dholi Taro Dhol Baaje’ also highlights the relation of the Dholis with Dhol.
Giddha is a popular folk dance of women in Punjab region of India and Pakistan. The dance is often considered derived from the ancient dance known as the ring dance and is just as energetic as Bhangra.
